Power and poise

The frame shows an African wild buffalo emerging from the midnight darkness on the edge of a water hole to quench the thirst. I was in a hide at Shompole conservancy at Southern Kenya to capture the majestic animal . It was captured in back light to enhance the margins and shapes of the body in such a way that an artistic expression of its portraiture is revealed. I have tried to capture the powerful expression of the animal as well as the calm and elegant look that perfectly matches with its behavior.
