Sacred Embrace
Sacred Embrace
In the serene grounds of a Buddhist temple in Laos, an elder's hand gently traces the ancient bark of a sacred tree. This intimate gesture highlights the profound texture and majestic form of the tree, revealing the natural elegance and unique details of its life. Far more than just plant life, these venerable trees, often revered as Grandmother and Grandfather, embody wisdom and solace. The image captures the deep, spiritual connection between humanity and the enduring beauty of nature's flora, showcasing how the natural world nourishes and embraces the human spirit.
Author
Born in 1999 in the French Alps, Florent Goy studied architecture in Grenoble, where he honed a keen eye for light, composition, and detail. More than just aesthetics, architecture taught him that creation is a dialogue, something to be conceived with and for others. In 2022, he embarked on a visual and personal journey across Australia and Southeast Asia with his first camera and a one-way ticket.
His photography is rooted in movement, spontaneity, and human encounters. He explores a form of wandering photography, blending documentary, emotional depth, and poetic drift. His images are born from lived moments and shared connections, captured not just to be seen but inhabited.
Florent observes the world to feel, understand, and convey its essence. At the heart of his practice lies a simple desire: to share, to evoke emotion, and to invite viewers to envisage the world differently – a philosophy embodied in his artist name: en-visage.
