Trust me
Trust Me explores how women navigate trust, self-doubt, and emotional regulation within social and cultural frameworks. I depict them as active experimenters of intimacy and restraint, performing vulnerability with precision rather than surrender.
Through staged gestures, fragmented narratives, and subtle distortions of the familiar, the project examines how emotion can be choreographed—how hesitation, care, and agency become visible acts rather than private states. Drawing from my experience as an Asian queer woman living between China, France, and the United States, the work translates invisible social pressures into embodied gestures.
In a time of eroding authority, Trust Me investigates the delicate choreography of emotion, selfhood, and survival, foregrounding interior lives shaped by trust, control, and unspoken emotional languages.
