The purpose of this shoot is to visually represent the mental and physical weight women carry from politics today and the process of coming to terms with this reality. My inspiration derives from the current political state of the U.S., and my personal experience of accepting it fuels my passion for completing this project. Each model is dressed in all black to create a cohesive composition reflecting unity, dismalness, and resilience. Each choreographed positioning depicts one of four phases- Oblivion, Somber Acceptance, Shared Truth, and Solidarity.
