Journey into the mystical heart of ancient trees shrouded in mist. This series, taken in the Fanal Forest of Madeira, transcends the ordinary by capturing the dynamic energy and mystery of trees that stand as silent witnesses to time. Unlike the common forests of Europe, these ancient trees, enveloped in fog, exude an otherworldly charm. Once harvested and replaced for industrial purposes by easier to process species, these trees now draw photographers and tourists alike, mesmerised by the surreal fusion of bizarre tree shapes and mist.

This series not only showcases the ethereal beauty of Fanal Forest but also reflects on the transformation of these trees from exploited resources to revered subjects of beauty and wonder.
