Cityscapes as Modern Art

I am presenting a series of eight of my interpretations of cityscapes of Manhattan, New York City, United States. Attempts to capture the buildings and skyscrapers of large cities often focus on buildings side-by-side with the sky and horizon as backdrop. But with the advent of modern advances in editing software, it is possible to use images of an entire metropolitan area as a type of canvas for creatives to turn cityscapes into modern art. As you will see in the images presented here, these manipulations can create beautiful art. My original photo of Manhattan that was the source of these images has also been included as the last entry for comparison.

My interests in photography focus mainly in the areas of abstract and experimental digital photography. I also enjoy more traditional photography focused mainly in travel, landscapes, and architecture. My photography has received awards for my entries to the IPA, Px3, Bifa, Annual Photo Awards and others, including many online art galleries.
