Even if the term 'plastic photography' may seem like a catch-all, Dominique Baqué's French definition seems to me to make sense in terms of my approach to photography. I photograph reality, but I use it above all to try to illustrate a certain state of the world via the photographic medium, which has come naturally to me. I work mainly on studying the perceptions and sensations that emanate from a coherent set of photographs. These photographs, set against a black background that acts as the scene of these 'events', question our way of apprehending a fraction of our reality.
Working with film and digital, developing a technique that does not require any retouching, I superimpose photographs and collages to assume, if necessary, the montage. The photographs or parts of photographs can be laminated onto various plates of varying thicknesses, creating a relief on the structure
