"Liquid Soul" invites you to free-diving into the nebulae of dissolution, with macro photography as the main tool.
“I use milk, paint or inks that I inject directly into the water of an aquarium. My shots are the result of patient experimentation, influenced by Berenice Abbott's researches on physical and chemical phenomena in the 1940s.
My work on the lighting makes it possible to highlight strange and dreamlike forms that only last the moment of the shot before dissolving, and which the eye sometimes cannot even catch.
Frameless vibrant textures organically emerge and are sometimes accompanied by a multitude of threads, giving the appearance of vaporization. »

Author
Photographer and plastician artist living in Paris, Gaetan Changeur graduated from the EFET School of Photography in Paris and has been practicing photography since the 2000s.
Passionate about black and white, he devoted the beginning of his career to creative and intuitive projects based on the rayogram technique, inspired by Man Ray. Then his fondness for cooking leads him to stage everyday foods in an unexpected way.
A first series of photographs entitled "Culinary Compressions" won over the public and launched his first exhibitions.
From 2015, in Artistic Residence in Nice, he has been working on videomaking. Fascinated by the movements of liquids, he then focused his creative research on fluids and their ephemeral changes of state.
A new series of photographs entitled "Liquid Soul" thus explored a world of chimerical creatures where vibrant textures emerge organically.
The unique creations of Gaetan Changeur are close to a primitive art plunged into the heart of matter.
